For 10^th graders and above

Students who plan to be dual credit students in Fall 2008

 

Topics to be included ... Note-taking in college classes Reading for comprehension   Time management Critical thinking skills  Study groups Study skills for mathematics   Communication with professors Understanding a college syllabus Using college support services .   Sessions 1 - 5 consist of a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday schedule, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.   Session 6 consists of a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday schedule, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Lunch will be provided each day. Enrollment in each session will be limited to the first 30 students.   Dates available are: Session 1 - June 10 - 12 Session 2 - June 17 - 19 Session 3 - June 24 - 26 Session 4 - July 8 - 10 Session 5 - July 15 - 17 Session 6 - July 21 - 23   All sessions will be held in Room 11124 (Kaleidoscope Room) of the Interactive Learning Center, Building 11, at San Jacinto College South, 13735 Beamer Road, Houston, TX, 77089. * * Registration will be available at www.sanjac.edu beginning on March 7, 2008.
